Women Of Faith Children’s Home Foundation (WOFCHF) received a nonprofit certificate of registration from the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia agency for Civil Society Organizations on June 18th, 2021. The children who are receiving care through a live-in nanny (who is more like a mother to them) currently reside in a good home. We praise God for stirring the hearts of many individuals and groups to stand with WOFCHF through the effort in resettling the children from Sudan to Ethiopia. With praise in our hearts, we are ready to engage in the next phase; specifically the building of an orphanage center with permanent housing for the children. We seek your prayers and continued financial support as we begin the process of acquiring land upon which to build and expand the Foundations reach to provide housing solutions and care for additional children.
In 2018, a group of ten women from Kansas, alongside the founders and friends of the foundation from Ethiopia, formed the WOMEN OF FAITH CHILDREN HOME FOUNDATION (WOFCHF), formerly known as KANSAS WOMEN OF FAITH. Since the project's inception in 2018, the ten women committed to financially supporting six children through monthly contributions, forming the foundation, and becoming board members. As the organization grew, three more children were added. To meet the increasing financial obligations, we reached out to family and friends to become monthly contributors and added members.
In addition to the monthly contributions, WOFCHF held several fundraising events, raising significant funds to support our foundation and meet the needs of our children. The yearly expenses for WOFCHF amount to $21,000, including school fees.
